Origins

Rooted in Tarrant County. Built for Service.

A lifelong Texan shaped by public schools, public service, and an unwavering commitment to the community he calls home.

Ty is a proud, lifelong Texan who was raised in Tarrant County and educated in its public schools — an experience that shaped his deep commitment to community and public service. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University before obtaining his law degree at the historic Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. Ty later advanced his legal expertise by earning a Master of Laws from St. John's University School of Law.

Ty's dedication to serving others began early and has defined his career. He started as an Assistant District Attorney in Dallas County, where he worked to uphold the law and protect communities. He then returned home to Tarrant County to serve in the Criminal District Attorney's Office, advocating for justice and standing up for the citizens he grew up alongside. But for Ty, public service extends beyond the courtroom — he has remained heavily involved in the community through his work with local boards and organizations, always focused on making Fort Worth a stronger, safer place for families.

Ty is married to his wife, Jordan, a Fort Worth native whose family has proudly owned and operated a small business in the community for more than 30 years. Together, they are raising their daughter, Wyatt Frances, and their Goldendoodle, Ro, with the same values of hard work, integrity, and service that guide Ty's life and career.

Rooted in Fort Worth

Ty Stimpson's commitment to Fort Worth extends far beyond the courtroom. As Board Chair of the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce and Chair-Elect of the Tarrant Area Food Bank, he is deeply invested in the economic and social fabric of the region.

One of his proudest accomplishments: helping establish the Mental Health Jail Diversion Center in Fort Worth — diverting individuals with mental illness away from incarceration and toward treatment.
